Electrical Design Engineer
Role:
As a contract position, an Electrical/Electronic Design Engineer is required to provide and design engineering of video products.
The Engineer should possess solid hardware design, skills including embedded µC circuit board design, working with digital video, analog video, video encoders/decoders, motor controls, and power supplies operating in extended temperatures.
Education/Knowledge/Experience:
- Overall years of Experience Required: 6+ years with a BS Engineering Degree
- Minimum Required Education: BS Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent; MS preferred
- Skills Required / Minimum years of Experience:
- 4+ years design of printed circuit boards composed of digital and analog devices
- 4+ years working with embedded processors
- 4+ years of relevant experience, proficient at hardware CAD, and test environments with demonstrable designs completed.
- Recent experience with FPGAs and DSPs
- Knowledgeable in digital video, Ethernet and serial communication
Exact components used where direct experience would be a major plus:
- Power PC and other common embedded processors
- FPGAs
- DSPs
- IP Protocols
- Motor Controllers
- I2C and SPI buses
